Our work

At Kingston Signs & Displays, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality commercial signage solutions tailored to each client’s needs. Every project we undertake follows a precise and transparent workflow, from the first conversation to the final installation. Here’s a look inside our process:

1. Initial Order and Consultation

Once we receive your enquiry or quote request, our team promptly reaches out to arrange a consultation. This session is your opportunity to share your vision, branding guidelines, and practical requirements. Whether you're seeking bold fascia signage, CNC-cut lettering, or bespoke vinyl prints, we’ll advise on the best materials, finishes, and styles to achieve maximum visual impact and durability.

Engineering Drawing

2. Initial Sketches

Following the consultation, our in-house design team begins crafting a 2D engineering drawing of your proposed signage. These technical schematics are carefully dimensioned and include details on material type, mounting points, cut lines, and fixings. This drawing serves as the foundation for both client approval and production planning.

3. Render for Visualisation

We take the design process a step further by generating a high-quality 3D render of your signage. This digital model allows you to visualise exactly how the finished piece will look once installed - on your building façade, within your store, or at your event. It’s an invaluable step for ensuring full clarity and confidence before we move into fabrication.

4. CNC Machining & Fab

Once the design is signed off, production begins. Using our state-of-the-art CNC machinery, we cut, engrave, or route signage panels and individual letters from a range of materials including acrylic, aluminium, foamex, composite sheets, and more. Precision is key. Our automated systems guarantee clean edges, consistent dimensions, and efficient material use.

For vinyl prints, we use high-resolution large-format printers to produce crisp, colour-accurate graphics on durable self-adhesive films. These are then applied with precision to the appropriate substrates in our workshop.

5. Quality Assurance & Final Preparation

Every sign undergoes a thorough quality check before it leaves our workshop. We inspect for finish consistency, structural stability, and any custom client specifications. If needed, protective coatings, fixings, and electrical components (for illuminated signs) are added at this stage.

6. Professional On-Site Installation

The final stage is installation. Our experienced team arrives on-site with the signage fully prepared and ready to mount. We follow all UK safety regulations and come equipped with the necessary tools and access equipment. Our goal is to leave the site clean, safe, and with signage that elevates your business presence from the moment it’s unveiled.
